Forgot Windows XP Password - How to Change Windows XP Password

If you forgot your Windows XP password, there are a few ways you can change it. One way is to use a password reset disk. If you created a password reset disk in the past, you can use it to change your password now.

If you don't have a password reset disk, you can change your password by using the Safe Mode feature in Windows XP. To do this, restart your computer, and then press F8 before Windows XP starts to load. This will take you to the Advanced Boot Options menu. From here, select Safe Mode, and then press Enter.

Once you're in Safe Mode, log in with the administrator account. Once you're logged in, click on Start, then Control Panel. In the Control Panel, double-click on User Accounts.
